The short version

Rewind helps you rehearse workplace conversations with an AI. To do that, the text of what you say is sent to our server and to an AI provider for processing. We do not keep your conversations on our server. We do not sell data, show ads or track you across apps.

What the app processes

Your voice. When you hold the talk button, your speech is turned into text by Apple's speech recognition. Where your device supports it this happens on the device. On devices that do not, Apple may process the audio on its servers under Apple's privacy policy. We never receive your audio.

Your conversation text and scene descriptions. The text of each turn, and what you type when you describe a conversation, is sent over an encrypted connection to our server and passed to Anthropic's Claude API, which plays the other person and analyses your turns. Our server processes each request and returns the result. It does not write the content of your conversations to any database or log. Anthropic may retain API inputs and outputs for a limited period under its own commercial terms and privacy policy, and does not use them to train its models by default. See anthropic.com/legal.

Saved rehearsals. If you choose to save a rehearsal it is stored only on your device. Delete it in Settings, or delete the app.

Purchases. Purchases are handled by Apple. We use RevenueCat to confirm what you have bought. RevenueCat receives an anonymous app user id and your purchase history for this app. We do not receive your name, email or payment details.

Usage counters. Our server keeps simple counters against the anonymous id, such as how many rehearsal turns were used today and whether the free custom rehearsal has been used, to prevent abuse.

What we ask of you

Use roles, not real names. Do not enter confidential information about other people. Rewind is for practising how you say something. It is not legal, HR or professional advice.

Children

Rewind is for working adults and is not directed at children.

Your choices

You can decline the AI consent screen, in which case the rehearsal features will not work. You can delete saved rehearsals at any time. To ask about data tied to your anonymous id, email us with the id shown in Settings.
